Placement of Tunze units...

I have (2) Tunze 6100 units in my 90 gal with the 7095 controller. I have them behind my rock blowing accross the back but slightly towards the front of my tank. They are on their lowest setting but they blow the heck out of my softer corals. Move them to blow to the front and they kick up sand ...move them to the back and the same thing happens to the sand in the back of the tank. Does anyone have a "best placement" for the units? See pictures attached below.

I'm not saying it's too much, but thats a lot of flow for a 90 gallon. You've probably got them in the best place, but have you tried angling them up towards the water surface? Another option that I use (i've a single 6100 in a 58 gallon with no controller) is to have it blow across the front glass long wise. This depletes much of the flow, as the Tunze is going in an upgrade in the next couple months and I just bought it early. I'm not sure how well that would work wtih your sand bed, though. I currently don't have any sand in my tank.

can you aim it up facing towards the surface and towards a far corner so that it deflects off the water surface and then two glass surfaces? With all the flow I bet it still makes it to the bottom, Another thing you might be able to do that I had to do is,

arrange the rock in such a way that there are barriers kinda like this

|rock| softy coral |rock|

so that flow goes above and in front of them but not between them, I was able to create nice tranquil areas like this and still have alot of flow going around.
