Burned all the boxes yesterday, and Denise is taking down the tree down today.

Near record setting hi temps today. Wish I was off to take care of outdoor chores.

Coffee is on, and I have a lot of guys working today. We are catching up on machine inspections.

Enjoy your Thursday.

Good mawnin’, Perry and all of TRT!

Thanks for the coffee, Perry. I have loaded oatmeat and Cream Of Wheat to get us started.

Perry - Taking your tree down already? Yikes!
Really nice fir your neighbor and you to exchange gifts!

Hack - Super active and fun times at your house! Wheeee!

Doug - How did that crown roast turn out? That has been fun to follow your procedure.

Jeff - Wharton did you do with your woofs when you went to your folks house?

Sorry I missed checking in yesterday. The day just flew by. The 2nd Christmas Eve service was over at 12:30. I needed to wind down, a bit when I came home, and my head hit the pillow at 2:00. Eeesh!
Had a good Christmas with Bobbi and Hal.

Lots of love and hugs and peace to every one!

Good morning You Two, and all our Friends swinging by today....HAPPY THURSDAY! Sorry you're back on the line already Perry......but gettin those boxes burnt helps a lot with the pending 'condensing' that is required after Christmas. Cath good to hear all is well, and had a nice Christmas with Bobbi and Hal.....Sounds like you had a well deserved 'passing out' at the end of the 2nd service Christmas Eve. Our decorations will stay up till after the New Year.....BUT can't guarantee any seconds beyond that. There will be the smell of eggs, bacon, and sausages coming from the kitchen before too long around here, but as always enough coffee to keep Patton's Men smiling. All the exceedingly finest to All,
Hack

Good Morning all, Christmas is done , dinner was good. Came back to here and read my book till I felt droopy. Same old nothing on tv. Gotta work 8-4 today then should be off, unless something comes up. coffee is on, will have an apple fritter for breakfast when I get in.
Hope the day treats you all well. Everyone traveling, be safe

Looks like we could use a smidge of air in the old TRT Tires....
Did a great job today avoiding any shopping malls, or traffic.....and only hit the Acme for our daily 2 gallons of milk that keep me a Hack running. Got Hack a poker table for Christmas to work on our retirement plan.....but had to 'strengthen' the chip holders in place, which tended to pull out a touch too easy. Having the rest of the Ham Croquettes for dinner tonight if'n anyone is passing by. Soooooo looking forward an evening which embraces nothingness.....either a movie night or, uhhhh, hmmmmm..... POKER! That's relaxing as fast as my money disappears! Hope pleasant is an extreme understatement for Everyone this evening,
Hack

Good evening, Hack, Doug, and anymore who might show up.

Hack - 2 gallons of milk a day for you and Nate? Holy cow! Pun intended. :clown:
What do you put on your ham croquettes?

This afternoon I made her yearly batch of cranberry/almond/pistachio biscotti for her to have at work. Once again, the house is smelling yummy.

Actually Jen asked me that the other day when I was making them. MIND YOU, she's eaten them since she met me, some, cough cough years ago, and I've never used anything on them. Always served with mashed potatoes and peas, but never gravy. Restaurants do, but theirs are always Turkey Croquettes, and serve with Turkey gravy. You are just a 'Little Suzy Homemaker' Cath, you must be a delight to live near. A poker game be calling me here shortly, as soon as that stuffed feeling passes. All the swellest to All,

evening all, survived work, was weird, I went in at 8 am and store was closed. Lynzy was supposed to open but her phone died. I did a respectable solo till around 1:30 then her and her daughter came in, they have the close up shift, it's all good.
Friend of mine was out of town to visit his former roomie and her family. I agreed to come up to his place on the mountain and make sure the cats were fed and OK. ITs rural enough that predators try to get in, but everything was fine. He got back today and brought me a bottle of Sour Mash Whiskey as a thank you. Hack what time is poker, that sounds like fun. I really need to find someone to play Pinochle with. My Korean MIL taught me to play and it is a full contact sport ;)
Took the doggies out for our daily ride and hit the store plus a trip up the mountain. Only went up about 3000', was getting later and COLD. Road was clear but snow on foliage was pretty. Stopped by The Creek on way down, not a lot different than last pics but I am watching.
Did get a pic of the start of the trail that goes up to the top of the mountain I see from my front yard.
The puppy pics are one of a friends litter of Blue Heelers that another friend adopted, so by default it is one of my extended dog family, I generally go through at least one BIG box of Dog Bone treats a week. His little cotton tail is natural but dam he is so cute. I( saw one of his sisters and she is a sweety, but I didn't have camera handy)
Not sure what the plan is tonight, tv is wasteland, JoJo got a HD copy of Joker, I want to see that since no one will play poker with me

Awwwww, his a little cutie! Plenty of room Doug for Ya at the table......long hours have grabbed the other folks by the eye lids and drug them off.

It was a devastating night with me and Jen's retirement options.....I actually was beating Hack, and I SUCK! We're relying on him to 'own the house' when he turns 21 and walks into the casinos. We're investing heavy in his future....that table will be a tax write off come January. Welp, if'n just me now, I may invite my Friend Johnnie Walker over with his bottle of Double Black and sip it's smoothness over a yet to be found movie. Grooviness to All,

Hack - That card table looks serious! Do you ever play for just fun? :funny: I think your family is all about grooviness and being inclusive.

Doug - That snow picture is classic beauty! Thanks for sharing.
Awwww little puppy is about as cute as ever.

This week I’ve been all confused about what day it is. And I’m not the only one. I’m going to blame all the Christmas Eve services.

See you all in the morning.

'Just for fun?'....Hmmmmmm, yea, discovered a long time ago you can have just as much fun in a Desoto, asw you can in a Bentley.....all depends which one they left the keys in. Top self is seldom sought after around here.....the bottom self leaves a lot more wiggle room for 'personalization'.

A Bentley?
In my opinion nothing oozes class like the old Rolls Royce, like the one in the movie "The Yellow Rolls Royce".
Only two things wrong with them, would cost 20 years wages and they are a pain to drive.
Heavy, no power steering or brakes It would be too much for a decent trip in.
Just realized there is a number 3 around here, no air conditioning too hot in the Texas summer to do without it. Although I usually did when younger.
