It's called Loc-line. Are you looking for the double tube or the flared pieces that go on the end?

Make sure you have an anti-siphon hole or two drilled if you are going to run the return line that deep. When the pump shuts off, the tank will drain down to the bottom of the loc-line if you don't have an anti-siphon hole. If that is the AGA megaflow plumbing kit, the 90 degree elbow at the top of the return pipe should have a hole drilled in it (inside corner of the PVC 90) for this purpose already.

You can run it without the loc line or with it, its personal choice. But, if you are water testing for leaks, why not just test the entire system at once for leaks instead of doing it several times?

we were not sure if the o rings *washers* on the overflow pipes were good or not they looked okay but wasnt sure and how its sitting if we hook it all up and then test and it leaks there we have to drain the tank or clean up a mess on the floor behind the stand. the sump is pretty much under it but i didtn wanna take any chances. so those tested first the rest will test together *not that there is much left to test lol.

he changed his mind again and wants to cut the holes bigger on the stand just in case..*whatever just make up his mind already lol* now it has the o rings for the inside of the overflow but not the bottom should we get another one for the bottom or skip that. we seem to find the right spot just wondered if it would help having washers on both sides of the glass or just one side not sure how it works with fishtanks. lol

Just one gasket, on the water side of the bulkhead. Adding one to the dry side isn't going to make any difference and can potentially cause it to leak. If the one on the wet side is doing its job, the second one on the dry side wouldn't have anything to keep from leaking.

okay thank you i wasnt sure of that one figured id ask now lol .. instead of a full tank and someone say should have added it. we gotta go buy some more tubing now cause he hooked it up and decided to cut the stand more so i gotta unhook tubes and the one isnt gonna wanna come off and i wont break the glass over a cheap tube lol. thanks again

You are missing the point of an internal overflow box. The water can only get into the box over the top. If it ends up leaking a little, you can remove the plumbing and empty the overflow box while the tank is still full of water. They are separate compartments.

If you have a stand with a solid top, I would cut the whole area out under the overflow. If you ever need to tighten or remove a bulkhead you will be happy you left enough room.

Another note. Do not glue the pipes inside the overflow into the bulkheads. They only need to be pushed fully into place. Glue or clamp everything below the bulkheads but not above them.

Um that is the reason we are cutting the stand is to get to the hoses easier. Yeah draining the overflow is fine only if we cut it bigger now if we didnt we would have to move the tank to fix it. soo therefor we are making it bigger now. and nowthat i gotta wait longer on a skimmer we got time. It should be fine when we make it a bigger hole but just in case hes adding a support to the back. it will work out in the end. and i have no intention of glueing the inside of my overflow pipes. I had cleaned it but apparently i missed something and it wasnt sealing i cleaned it again and it seals fine now.
