The deadline to the big event at work is screaming up. Probably working Saturday and Sunday. I feel bad for Kelly. She is my coworker promoted to Quality Manager the day I started. Two months is not a lot of time to un$%@# sins of the past. Been to this rodeo before. I am in the supporting role and handling the heavy hitter stuff growing her into hopefully her new career.

Haircut Friday and getting the remainder of the scruff off my neck. We are headed in Saturday. Despite all the requests by many people there are a few that want to test the system. They may pick up their labeled trash bags of stuff that doesn't belong in our CEO's office after the audit. She is the closest we have to a principal and much tougher. It's just business.

Coffee is on. Going to crunch numbers and review a couple of hundred files today. Just because I am a nuclear engineer does not mean I went to school for statistics. Bought a course and workbook on Amazon and do that at night.

Pizza rolls are in the convection oven for breakfast. I'll sleep when I'm dead

Called off at work. I can't focus with the winey babies going off all day. The crybabies are all old dudes. The ladies as always carry the weight in my industry.

Don't care about the vacation day. They can fire me after the successful audit.

Mornin Perry & anyone who wanders in after. Sometimes a day to decompress is needed Perry.

I spent some time with the tanks last night. I selected three or four rocks from the 125 that didn't have coral growing on them and gave them a good scrub. They had the stubborn remnants of the green algae bloom I managed to get through. I misted some peroxide on them and let them sit for 20 minutes then put them in the sump for safe keeping. I may start another tank - I have a 30 gallon my wife wants off the porch.

Top of the morning Perry and Rick.....and Cath who I see is smashing the 'like buttons', and all facing the day with us here.....HAPPY WEDNESDAY/HUMP DAY TO ALL!

Coffee is on, and I deem pizza rolls as a quality offer.....THANKS Bro! PB+J(Grape) on toast will be joining us momentarily also.

Awoke to enough white stuff on the ground to say it snowed in the overnight hours......which I was up till 1a and didn't witness. An 1"at best, so call off the plows.

Rick......SORRY Pal, but 'you got it bad'! We've all seen this before.....worse than UFO's the way some folks have 'extra tanks' just show up seemingly out of no where. You're hooked, set, fight is over and all but in the live well at this point.....better start looking for that bigger home and draw up PLANS for that fish room. 😁

Squirt and the Mrs. are going out for a 'girl day'.....getting their hair cut and gussied up. Leaves Nate and me to, uhhhhhh........be Me and Nate! May want to watch your toes!

Peace and really cool stuff to Y'All,
Hack

Good mawnin’, Perry, Rick, and all of TRT! I better hurry up before Hack shows up for the day.

Thanks for the coffee, Perry. I’ll put out oatmeat, Cream of Wheat, nanners, and all kinds, a goodies to put in your hot cereal. There’s also cinnamon raisin bread for you to toast, if you’re cold, we got the fixings for hot chocolate.

Barry, when you go back to work, just show those whiners what it’s like to do a job. If they don’t do it their jobs, then they need to be canned.

Rick, looking forward to seeing what you do with that spare 30. Yay on scrubbing down those rocks that had remnants of algae on them. Good way to scrub away work frustrations when you get home.

Hack - well I missed beating you. I wish or you were headed off to taking Nate to work, but I see that he has a day off. Maybe he has the day off because of snow.

Sounds like a fun day for Squirt and Jen today! And now I’m scared of what you and Nate might be doing today.🙄🤪

Doug, sure hope you got your printer going. They can really want to tear your hair out when you’re trying to set them up.

There’s been construction going on at our community life building here on campus since before Thanksgiving. And today’s up first day back in the dining hall!🎉🎉
Dinner church tonight and it’s followed by choir practice.

Lots of love and hugs and peace to everyone! Be groovy, along the way

Groovy good morning Cath.......yeah, we were scaling the walls together this morning.

Hack's 'employment' is below board at the moment, and pretty much is 'on call' status. The Sams' home at the moment is FULL FORCE DRY WALLING at the moment, and no place for riders.....all that dust, and 'stilt walking' going on. So yes, he's helping the contractor at his house in between things to do at the Sams' so the snow on the ground, and anticipated light snow through the day means He's stuck with me. ;)

Glad to hear Y'All's chow hall is open again, AND dinner and a prayer, AND walking the vocal chords....YUP, your day is PLANNED! May it be a blast!

Good morning,
Cooler today but drier today than tomorrow suppose to be. Today in another no ship day. So good thing I didn’t try. Tuesday is the only day I can ship so maybe next week.
Going though Facebook this photo pop up. In August of 08 almost the exact date Katrina hit in 05 Hurricane Gustav hit and Baton Rouge was hit really hard. It was a wind event. Trees down everywhere and Roads impassable. Power out for week to two weeks in most areas . it Was the start of my disaster recovery work. I was hired on as supervisor because of my experience in management and running a business.
We had somewhere between 300 and 400 people working under us along with all contractors. Dsy for most was 12 hours 24/7 . For us in management it was 16 and 17 hours. For 3 and a half months.
This is a photo of us at a Christmas party. I didn’t get home until 2 am and was back to work at 4:30 am to continue and finish up.

Morning all,
Zero this morning ,, already up to 7 degrees,,, heatwave🥶.
Early am run to town for topping off pantry/fridge,, now the plan is to put in shop time ,, kicked up the heat when I got home out there, nice to start “work” in decent temps. Of course the required Keurig cup o coffee out here before I get started,,, Union rules.
Also, a time tested statement from a co-worker yrs ago “ you can’t come back to the shop for lunch , if you don’t leave after the mid morning coffee break first “ This is the same fella that taught me to reach in a pocket and drop a quarter next to the nickel you just accidentally dropped,,, “I’m not bending down/over for JUST a nickel,,, gotta make it worth the effort “ Along with getting either puzzled looks or a chuckle from folks seeing this happen, the quarter has now become a dollar bill at least,,, some things just ain’t worth it , heheh.

Time to get busy again ,,

Hope everyone has a great day!👍🏼
