I know one person who wouldn't need one of those. He'd need about ten of them.

Somewhere in this thread is a picture of his skimmer. About six feet tall or taller and a couple feet across. And many shark keepers have systems that easily fall in that tank size range.
This makes me laugh! Save the money and get a years membership to your local aquarium:fish:. I guarantee theirs will look a lot better.

BK 650..... drooooooool :drool:

You might be able to buy a car for it.... but that thing will skim a Buick out of your tank.

But those with the means of doing a tank correctly at the volumes mentioned, the 7-8K for a well built skimmer might not be bad.
