Just wondering. Is there any way to tell if the live rock is collected from a responsible source. Is it possible to tell if it was collected from sand beds, where it will be buried into the sand in several years by storms. Instead some reef collecters use dynimite to tear apart living rocks to harvest live rock. Is there any qualification or organization that monitors live rock collecters. It would be nice to know that we are keeping reefs to learn about them and protect them, not to destroy them! ;) :)

When you or anyone orders live rock, there is ALWAYS the chance you will get unwanted hitchikers. Rock crabs, mantis, nudibranch (the icky kind) etc. Then again, you might get some very unexpected surprises, corals, shrooms, polyps.

So, if you order "un-cured" live rock, expect to get sometihing that you don't want in your tank. And maybe something you hope to get.
