More than likely they are just hiding somewhere due to being introduced to a new environment. I've experienced the same thing of adding a new resident to my tank only to not see it anywhere for several days. My cleaner shrimp does that to me on a weekly basis. I can't find it anywhere even though I look everywhere in my tank. And then at some time when I'm not actively searching for it, I see it pop out from behind the rock somewhere.
Give them a couple days, I'm sure they'll show up!
If they're Yellow Coris Wrasses, they're probably freaked from the new tank and are hiding in the sand.
When frightened, and at night, they will hide/sleep IN the sand. :bigeek:
good news i was walking past and saw one pop out from under a rock do you think that a rock could have traped the other one when i was moving the rocks
Glad you found him I would leave the tank alone for the next few days so the new guys can get adjusted. Doing the tank maintenance right after introducing will cause them to even stress out even more.
These fish sleep at night, mine usually heads for the sand bed when the halides shut off and only the actinics are on, so the flashlight will not do any good.
Hopefully you will see both of them out and about very soon.
good news got up today and saw them both swimming around the tank i put some frozen brine shrimp in there and they eat like pigs but they are a bit shy when we get to close to the tank but only to the point of going behind yhe rocks not in the sand thanks every one
thanks for your help guys but do any of you know what do they like to eat at the moment they are eating frozen brine shrimp like pigs but what is there main diet thanks again by the way
Brine shrimp for them is like popcorn for us, it is a treat but not very nutritious at all. They should eat a variety of frozen foods such as Mysis Shrimp, Krill, Plankton, Cyclopeeze, and so forth. One of the San Francisco Bay brands for saltwater carnivores is a decent choice, and some people swear by Rod's food.
i am feeding them vitaman inriched brine shrimp and krill thanks for your help guys
