Hi everyone.

I set up a new 90 gallon 2 weeks ago...I loaded 30lbs of
choice live rock at the time, MAg12 circulating, skimmer fired
and pulling foam 10 minutes after I turned it on.....

Here we are 2 weeks later...the hair algae started basically 2 days ago.....

Do you think I should put in a clean up crew now?

I have NOT TESTED (LFS shortshipped me an amonia colour chart!!)

picking up amonia kit tommorow and possibly nitrite kit....

any suggestions comments welcome
Thanks
Tim

As soon as the tank is cycled it is ok to add the clean up crew.

I've never had problems with cleanup crew being added after the ammonia drops to 0.....

I would think about putting in another 60lbs or so of LR while you are cycling the tank!;)

So are you saying I should put another 60lbs of rock in AND a clean up crew or NO CLEAN UP and JUST the extra rock?

Please clarify
Thanks

i'd do the same.. more live rock.. then the cleanup crew, once ammonia is back to zero again.

but you've already taken the most important step...getting advice first :D
