Technically the first one is right. You dont' worry about the waterline, just the plunger.

+1 ....do you have the plastic tip on there ...i get about twice the air thats in yours

you shouldn't have a bubble when you draw your test water ...just when you use your test solution due to the plastic tip

Yea my test kit came with 6 glass tubes that have a 5 ml mark on them and a plastic cap.

thats not salifert ...the marks on those glass tubes aren't very accurate
