Morning all.

My new job is everything I wanted. Killer pay and benefits and nice folks. Also, instead of a fancy office they offered I am taking over an entire lab area with a separate toolroom and an office area. The only problem is that it is rubble. The last time the floor was swept was 1972.

The clutter is throughout the area with clean up and organization (5S) events planned that never happen. Might as well show them how OFR's roll. Spent four hours yesterday cleaning up just the central set of benches. Going to be good friends with that 20 yard dumpster in the parking lot.

Coffee is on. Going out to drive Uber at 3 am. That is a time that no one wants to be out, but folks need to start getting to work. The rates skyrocket and I get a little pocket lettuce.

Oh yeah, this job does not keep me in a tiny little overmanaged box. My manager was laughing when I mentioned a long run. He is a similar age, and mentioned that we are "mid-career".

Glad to hear things are going groovy for you, and THAT does sound awesome that FLOOR PLAN.

Was up since 3a......dried out from all the antihistamine in my cold medicine. Only HOT COFFEE would cut through that dry mouth. And we all know coffee at 3a isn't conducive to going back to beddy-by.

Boy are you gonna be shocked Jeff to see how far you missed today's opening by......I surrender to Perry over starting THAT EARLY!

Pretty sure 'work' isn't in my PLANS for today.....bed sure sounds delightful, but sure will prove elusive. Peace and lollipops,

Mornin Gents & all who follow. 24F here and heading to 40 and sunny this afternoon. Will have to go check on the koi & goldfish when I get home. They are just starting to move around a bit on sunny days like today. I will drop a little feed in to see if they eat.

New job sounds great Perry. I am in a similar boat, I had an office built for myself in the shop and have begun organizing it. I am on my 3rd 40yd dumpster and it will get picked up tomorrow. Everything was so disorganized we were buying stuff because we couldn't find it. I found a full SKID of toilet seats...

thanks for the coffee, guys! I’ll offer up huge muffins, biscuits, and gravy, stewed apples to go on a plain biscuit, if you like, and nanners.

Jeff is going to have to turn into note for tardiness this morning.

In a bit of a rush this morning to get ready to go to an exercise class. It is 28° here this morning, but rising up to 60. Everyone take care of yourselves and get if you’re sick.

HiYa Rick n Cath! Sorry, but I was able to nod off despite the early coffee......sleep, chicken noodle soup, and banana splits seem to be working......I don't feel any worse today...THAT'S always a good thing!

We've got 36 heading to the upper 40's later, but the winds are still ferocious! A wee grumbly in the tumly, and be thinking perhaps some Cream of Wheat? Hope to see more of our Friends pulling up chairs today.....

good morning all, 30 heading to 50 and dry for a change I found an email from GE re: they found repair tech local I have to call and make appt for them to come out and fix my frig
SS deposited this am so I get to pay bills again, yippee.
Cant wait to see crazy things happen today. Meanwhile I need to feed the pups and get on down the line. Hope everyone has a great day

Afternoon all,
I got a note for being late/absent this morning ,,,, I got up/awakened at 3:30 am,,, let the dawgs out( woof woof) and went BACK to bed 👍🏼. And somehow slept til 9am CST. 🤷🏻‍♂️🤯👍🏼.
So, I got 2x the hrs o sleep , tho split is 2 sessions , I’ll take it. ( how/why the dogs were silent during the 2nd sleep session 🤷🏻‍♂️,,, not complaining .

Had a pain doc/procedure follow up appt this morning , went well. Met with the rep/tech from the spinal stimulator place and she figgered out why after I turned mine off pre procedure, it did not turn back on . All good now👍🏼.

The plan tomorrow is to put in as much time as I can handle at mom’s place. Sis had a productive day a few ago , with sorting etc “stuff” .

Close to fifty outside today, but no plans on being out there except for dawg duty/doody.

Great news on getting someone to repair your fridge and getting your SS check! I hope that repair person can come soon. What have you been doing to keep things cold?

Jeff, your light excuses is understandable, so you are off the hook. Not like I’ve never been late. 🙄🙄. Who knows why the doggies didn’t bother you after they had an early trip to relieve themselves. But if you got extra sleep, all of it, that is a win-win situation.

Yay! Glad that the pain stimulator rep/tech was having to figure out why things weren’t working correctly for you. With any luck, things will be more like smooth sailing for you in the future.

I’m eating veggie taco soup that was made by the church. It’s pretty spicy, so I hope it doesn’t cause havoc with my GI. EEEK! Maybe I will get lucky.

Evening all, what was going to be a good day went to the land of penguins, Called and emailed repair place, I get a call from someone sounding old as my gramma that said the had sent the job back to GE, they couldnt take on new repairs. Hello, why did yuou not tell GE that???? So after work I had to email my case manager about the reversal. Since we are in different time zones wont get an answer before tomorrow. Meanwhile my grandson gave up his large dorm size beer frig so I can keep basic perishables hand. I am so mad I can just spit I guess I have to ratchet up my complaint.
