Morning all,
Another 3:57 am wake up from Murphy,,, I almost wonder if there is a watch etc somewhere in the house that has a alarm set that goes off at that time each morning since Murphy is spot on with starting his barking within seemingly minutes either side of that time 🤔🤷🏻‍♂️🙄😩.
Have no problem with letting the pups out IF they gotta tend to business outside ,,, but geez fellas, 4 or so hrs of sleep is kinda ruff on dad 🥴😑🥱😮‍💨.

coffee and Raisin Bran w/ cranberries to offer up this morning.

Dunno exactly what the day has in store for me ( other than the required dawg duty stuff) but figure now that coffee has hit bottom I might as well get upright n active,,, plus with a early start it’ll seem “late” in the day when the clock sez 9-10 am,,, good or bad thing🙄🥴.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning Jeff n Herd, and to all our Friends joining us today......HAPPY TUESDAY!
More coffee on the Table as we speak.

Our loving furry ones felt the urge about mid-night to go look around the yard......but pretty sure that was because THAT'S WHEN I woke up feeling the onslaught of 'cold symptoms'.....at which point I stayed up for an hour'ish to let some medicine try it's stuff, and we all gladly climbed back in bed.:(

Will be 'flying' into work this morning, and battling a headwind in the 50+mph range when I try to go the other direction, so will take a wee longer getting home.:sneaky: Got a 'dry' gale for the next couple days down here.
Do I feel up to this?.....HECK NO! Will I?...Smart money will be on 'STUPID'!

That's 2 cups of coffee down.....let's see what the glass of CIBMC and a 3rd cup do for me.
Peace and cold medicine,
Hack

Good mawnin’, Jeff, Hack, and all of TRT!

Thanks for the loads of coffee, guys! Jeff, that raisin bran with cranberries sounds really good to me. I will add humongous muffins and bagels of all kinds to toast up and dress the way you want. I’m gonna have hot chocolate. It’s cold here.

Sorry to hear both that both of you guys had a sleepless night. Jeff, I hope you can make some headway with Nash and Murphy learning how to walk with a leash. Too bad they can’t learn from each other. I hope you are in bed catching up on some of your sleep.

Hack, my 2¢ says you should stay home. And I’m pretty sure Dr Jen would say the same thing.

Perry, was yesterday the first day of your new job? How did it go?

Our low temps overnight this week are in the high 20s. It’s currently 31 and will get up to 50.

Everyone out there take care of yourselves! And I mean it!

Lots of love and hugs and peace to everyone!

Well that was sorta a 'hedged bet'......I was indeed stupid enough to head into work.....BUT......once the boss saw me, standing there coughing my fool head off in the snow squall that coincided with me arriving, and my lush head of grey hair blowing in the gale force winds and saying, "You don't look too good?"....."Do you want to go home?" SAYONARA !

So yeah...I was stupid enough to go to work....but like snot dripping from my nose, smart enough to not stay there. 😁

So 4th cup of joe while I decide to get 'comfy' and go back to bed, or just flop over as is.....

Good morning Doug! SORRY Bro.....hope it goes as groovy as POSSIBLE for Ya.

Sleep is elusive, but snot is plentiful. 'Chicken noodle soup sounds wonderful Cath, but coconut cake was handy. Maybe a trip to the store LATTER and will grab some. This feels like a multi day event.

Be prepared for a shocker but seems the weathermen were in error.....that 'dry gale', appears to have a lot of snow in it.....one squall after another has been passing through for hours now, and 'they' seem to have revised their original opinions. NO AMOUNTS, only is.

Afternoon all,
Since I started my day a bit early 🥴, one job I gave myself was to finally remove the mufflers off the Merc,, then measure what I needed and order ( pretty sure they were not “stock” with some form of low restriction ones installed when the owner before dad had the Merc changed over to “duals” instead of orig. single exhaust. One of dad’s classic cars 25 yrs ago was a ‘51 Ford convertible,, and was one I usually drove in parades for him ( 3 on the tree manual , and sometimes the drivers he asked were not “stick savvy” with at times his cars being 50-50 auto/manual) The Ford ( close to the same engine as the ‘50 Merc) had “glass packs” for mufflers and of course I made sure 🤔😉😂,to lag behind a lil in a parade or on the route to/from parade to home so I could let the Ford “breathe” on acceleration 😎😍.
Being a long time gearhead,,, and not in my DNA to leave things alone 🙄😂,,, mufflers with a ‘50’s period “hot rod” sound are a no brainer . Not stock hush-ee or ear splitting obnoxious,,, but a nice throaty rumble that these mufflers are known for/matched for Flathead engines,,, plus I want to/can, heheh,,, and a minor tip of the hat to dad❤.

Put in some time , with the sun now helping being outside a lil comfy feeling, having the two pups getting used to a leash . Nash the GSD being 9 weeks old and Murphy the 15 week old GMD, not being focused longer than a goldfish 😵‍💫🤪,,, it’ll take a bit more for them to get the idea of doing more than doofy puppy mindsets. I’ve always said IF/WHEN I got a new pup, they would be trained (hopefully , well) since I had lil balls of mold able clay to work with . The “old dog-new tricks “ thing is not law with my ability to teach older set in their ways dawgs manners etc., and could not wait to have a fresh sponge dog brain to work with.

On to the rest of the day,
Hope everyone is having a great one 👍🏼

Good afternoon, guys!

Good Morning 38 and rainy, gotta feed the dawgs and head to work, check in later
Yikes Doug! I checked your weather for today, and it’s plain old cold and nasty. I hope you can fix yourself a hot meal when you get home from work this evening.

I can see where coconut cake would be quite medicinal whether you needed it or not.🤤
Good thing you were able to get some chicken noodle soup help you with your healing. Yeah, I think you don’t need to go to work tomorrow or maybe even Thursday.😉

Jeff, I sure did enjoy reading your post. I don’t know much about classic cars or training dogs, but I found it fun to read.

Somewhere around here I have a photo of dad dressed up like Santa Claus driving his white Corvair in the Christmas parade.

We have a freeze warning and a warning about having the right conditions for fire. Our humidity is very low (20%!) and with these winds, it would be easy for something to catch fire.

On with the afternoon….

Hack - Are those two squaring off?😂

By the way, guys, I enjoy reading everybody’s posts. There’s always something in there that I’ve never heard of or don’t know anything about.
But then, I bet you don’t know as much about Libraries as I do.😂🤓
