Okay...I REALLY want to set up a 2.5 nano at work for me to stare..er..umm...occasionally look at. Think I should do it? It will be a 2.5 nano, with a 10W PC light. I will just keep mushrooms, zoos, snails, 1 hermit. Should I do it? :)

Oh I see tons in my large reef. Ask the Smiths. I am one of the few around that could tell you the count of my fauna. heh heh My first tank was a 10gal, then a 20gal, now a 75gal. But yes, I love the fauna... I just re-set up my 20gal again as a self-standing refugium. Maybe shrooms in it..but.. ;) I am so addicted!

Don't go smaller than 2.5 gal though. I have a 1.5 gal and I am having some serious problems with it, even though It has like 3 brown polyps and a hermit crab. I am retrofitting a 3 gal eclipse as we speak.

I thought of the eclipse..but they were wanting $15 more for .5 gallons. Plus, it didn't have a very good bulb. I am still thinking on it though. :) Thus the poll. heh heh

i say go for it. you've already had a 10g so you already know the husbandry required for a smaller tank.

plus maybe some hot single chicks in the office will start coming to stare at your tank.. besure to include hermies :D

curious... why 2.5 and not 10?

I would try to find 5 or 7 gallon bow front. Still small enough to fit on a desk but easier to keep the params right. JMO :D

Jeremy...you're smart about what the smaller tanks need.. I trust ya, man!

i would definately do the 2.5 i have one that is a bow front i got from walmartspent an extra 5 for a screw in 6500k 10 watt pc bulb and built a canopy and retro fitted a dual 9 watt pc bulb fixture for a total of 28 watts. the cost for the whole thing was about a hundred bucks because i already had LR and LS from the 150g i'm just trying to figure what to put in the tank now.

It is AC'd..he keeps the temp at 75 or so. Already considered that I would need a small heater probably.
