Hi all. Waffles and eggs for me this morning also lots of coffee I have been up for a while and could not go back to sleep. I got a call from work at 2 AM there was some problems with some employees I decided not to go in because a long time night shift supervisor from a different dept said he would take care of it. Still did not fix the problem of me going back to sleep. Oh well. I hope everyone has a good day. Be blessed.

Good mawin', 9sec and all of TRT!

Thanks for the coffee and waffles, 9sec. How about some local peaches to go on the waffles?

9sec - Ewww on the sleepless in Charlotte thing. Yup, a 2 AM call from work didn't help any. :(

Off to Civitan. Lots of love and hugs and peace to everyone.

Good morning GSXR, George, Cath and all the rest to come.
Had and AWESOME time with Mary Ann last night. I do love that lady!
Thanks for the breakfast GSXR. Sorry about the late night call. I can relate to getting woke up and then not being able to get back to sleep.
Enjoy Civitan Cath.
Thanks for the cereal George.
Off to headquarters for a couple hours this morning so I can go to the Civilian of the Quarter presentation, then off to the FD in the next county for the balance of the shift. Friday for me, and my 5 day to beat. Of course I am working EMS on Monday and teaching OB and Mass casualty labs at the college on Tuesday. The balance of the weekend is dedicated to Ms Mary Ann and Allie. Hoping to make introductions this weekend.
Y'all have a great Thursday!
Ray

A Got Whooped 3-11 shift last nite, feels like I'm paying for it this morning, or mebbe can blame it on the weather, or it's just a normal morning for me .

Rained a lil last nite, still not enuf to fix the lack of rain around here situation.:(

Have not decided what my morning to-do's will be, until I get some coffee in me :gmorning:. But right now as far as I care, looks like :couchplus: will be ok with me til it's time to leave for work .

Hope everyone has a great day! :wavey:

Good Morning, 9sec, Cath, George, Ray, Perry, Jeff, & Everyone! :)

More hot today with the ever present possibility of t-storms.

9sec, good to have that backup.

Ray, I was going to ask if Allie had met Mary Ann until my question was answered in your last sentence. No doubt they'll get along just fine. :agree: Does M.A. work?

Morning all. Think things are done with my girlfriend of the last six weeks. A string of "observations" she made last night were unnecessary. Another will come along that is maybe a bit less judgmental, as I can point out my own flaws easily enough.

Another will come along in about two days.
Two whole days, Perry? You're slowing down, man.

Jeff, I guess that shift made up for the last one when you had no calls. :(

Bear is showing his table manners and skill at stripping wild cherries off the branches. I've watched them put the cluster in their mouth, close it, then pull the stem out, stripping the cherries with their teeth like this one. Some just eat the whole thing, stem and all. :D

Have a Terrific Thursday, Everyone!

Dick:)

Well it looks to be a long day and near future. 3 people were fired and 2 more suspended until further notice pending the outcome of an investigation from management. Wow. What a day. I guess I should have went in last night.

Oh no not me. I am not in any trouble. Just some of the 3rd shift guys. They were good guys and good workers. But they just had a really stupid moment. There are some things that a write up would take care of, but there are other things that grown adult should know better. Even most teens/kids would know not to drink on the job....or something of that nature. There are certain things that will get you escorted out the door without question. Oh well.

They initially questioned me about why I did not go in and the really good 3rd shift supervisor spoke up for me. He told them that all he told me was there was some problems with some employees one of which being mine but that he would take care of it and there was no need for me to go in. I did not know what was happening until this morning. They understood then. No biggie. They know I work hard and a lot. And I also never charge them "comp time" from the hours I spend at home working such is normally around 10-15 per week that would all be OT if I charged it. They thought I knew and stayed in bed but now they realize that the other supervisor told me he would handle it and he just filled out the drug/alcohol test papers for the guy in my department and drove them to the hospital to pee in a cup. 3 refused and so they are no longer with us. 2 took it and they are suspended with pay until the results come back.

Wow 9 that sounds like a serious stoopid attack on their part. When I worked for Aircrane they were very explicit that there is a zero tolerance policy, refusal would be an auto eascort. Everyone knew that going in but there was always some fool that thought they could get away with partying a little heartier on a week end, but your situation sounds more like sneak one during break :( Ow, good jobs are hard to come by

That is what I am afraid of. But with what we do and what we work with.... There is just no room for error. Do what you may on your own time, but at work you have to be 100% and as sad as this may be... The results will speak for themself. And IMO if they are found to have broken any major company policies then they brought whatever punishment may come onto themself.
