Afternoon, finally got the filter up and running after a fashion. There is a big fire in Cal south of here and we have a bunch of smoky haze blocking out the worst of the sun. Temps are 95ish rather than 105, small favor huh. Was wondering what all the ash on car and in pool was, drat thats gonna mean cleaning filter dailey in stead of every other day

Grandkids spent the day with us today so I never made it to the LFS to pickup food. So it will have to be Tuesday.
Two of three buckets of reef crystals arrived today from Chewy. They changed the handles from metal to plastic. I guess it saves money.
We had a real heavy rain storm, wasn’t expecting it. The weather said light rains.
Im wiped out from the grandkids. They have the energy I wish I had.
Doug glad you got it working. Be able to cool off with all that heat.

Just got a letter from Dept of Forestry for Oregon, according to new Laws passed (without vote) they have mapped the state and assigned fire risk and are implementing new rules for defensible space. I have no issue with that, but the rules are being shoved down peoples throats with severe penalties for non compliance when they take effect in 6 months. Court action is pending, but the first thing they did is make "new Data" available to insurance companies and in some cases ins rates will triple

Not sure what the weather is going to do, We have strong chance of T Storms later because of the change in patterns caused by heavy smoke and haze.

Afternoon all,,,

Morning was up north at mom’s, did some yard work for her, then over to sis’s to assist with parrot nail trims , then nearby stop at my buddy’s for a visit.

Venmo’d a deposit for my soon to be ( expected to be born Aug 22nd) GSD pup, to the breeder. Things are starting to go into motion 👍🏼❤. Oughta have a new ball o fur mid October 😁.

Max is doing pretty good on his crate rest /recovery for his rear legs. Actually RAN from the yard to the patio the other day ,, and short of a slight gimp/ lacking right rear leg he is moving that much closer to his old self . More to go, but his current progress is way ahead of what is considered “usual”.

Grab something I’m the house to eat, then ponder if there is any “effort/gumpshun “ left in me the rest of the day, or just chill🤔🤷🏻‍♂️.

We had a ruckus good time......just left the table from a 6 person Trivia Pursuit game. Yeah, it surely turned silly....but FUN. 2 of the children never played a board game before.....either with their Family or Friends. They now knows a whole big new world......we laughed.

And went through a LOT of cheese dip and pretzels, and a huge fruit tray.....I understand there MAY BE a movie or two ahead.....it is only 11:30p after all.
