Sticky sticky. But pics would make it so much better. Thats alot of work that went into that
I decided against pics for a few reasons. First, I didn't want people to see what the fish looked like. I wanted them see what the fish need and what the fish are. When you see something you like you may ignore some of the more important stuff. So for now you check out what you can have, then you click on the link. Which also provides you with more info and pictures.

Second, the code to embed the pictures would almost double the length of the page length of the list.

This is the amount of code it takes per fish currently.

|SIZE="3"|| 10 ||/SIZE|-| |B||COLOR="Khaki3"|E|/COLOR||/B| |B||COLOR="CadetBlue"|P|/COLOR||/B| |B||COLOR="Orchid"|R|/COLOR||/B| | - |url=http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=15+23+1141&pcatid=1141|Harptail Blenny|/url|

Imagine typing that times 468 fish....

That's actually what is counted towards the maximum character count per post.. Which I think is 10,000 characters per post.. Just simple only adding an image code..

Like this.

Would just make this list longer, add more initial posts, and make this list impossibly long to scroll through..

Plain and simple, it's just not beneficial, or feasible to have pictures. This is more of a reference guide. Rather than a catalog I guess..

I do hope you got some use out of it though!

Next project would be invertebrates. Corals are actually last on my list.. Only time will tell how much free time i'll have.

Very good point. I think it is easy to think "well, may be it will be different for me" while looking at a pic of an awesome fish.

I love the list! Great way to look for ideas based on the needs of the fish:)

I noticed that all the dragonettes (manderins and scooters) are listed as 30g fish, same as liveaquaria. Ive beengetting plenty of rolled eyes for considering a manderin in a rocky 55g......is there a way you could link some additional info for such a demanding group of fish?

There are two separate parts to owning a Mandarin. The first is space to move.. In my personal opinion a Mandarin will be fine in a 20 or so gallon tank. The second part is space for their food. Most Mandarins need live copepods. You can train them to eat frozen, but they are hard wired to eat pods. So most of the time people believe a big tank will house enough pods to sustain a Mandarin. That is almost always incorrect thinking. A mandarin eats more pods that you would believe.. So, think of it like this.. If a mandarin is a dog, and that dog lives in a few acre yard.. The dog will have plenty of room to move, but no food. Say that food is chicken.. In a few acres there won't be much room for chickens to thrive if they are always under attack... It would require many many more acres to raise the chickens along side the dog.. But if you only double/triple the size of the yard the amount of chickens to feed the dog will make that whole place disgusting to live in.. So you need to further increases the size to keep the place from getting gross.. Its just not feasible.. But you can keep the dog in a small yard and the chickens in a chicken coup outside the dogs area.. Thats what a pod farm does. You can check them out in my signature.

Heres some good info.

List revamp coming soon. Links to most major websites and sponsors will be included. Also, additional fish names will be included.

Eg: Hoeven Wrasse / Melanurus Wrasse / Tail Spot Wrasse / Yellow-lined Wrasse / Orange-tipped Rainbowfish / Tailspot Wrasse / Pinstriped Wrasse

All the same fish....

But all the names of fish with multiple names will now be included in the list. Most likely as duplicate entries due to formatting.

Hey great list! Correct me if I'm wrong, but I checked twice and didn't find melenurus wrasse.
Its under a different name. I am working on adapting all known names for fish into the list. On the list it's currently the Hoeven's Wrasse.
