My biggest concern are the tangs. Yes? No? Maybe?
I see a lot of people do it. However, a 90 gallon is still just a 4 foot tank.
I would love to have a blue tang and Powder Blue Tang.

I have:

1 Ocellaris Clownfish (Amphiprion ocellaris)
3 Green Chromis (Chromis viridis)
1 Six Line Wrasse (Pseudocheilinus hexataenia)

Invertabrates
1 Black Pincushion Urchin
1 Peppermint Shrimp
1 Scarlet Skunk Cleaner Shrimp
1 Turbo Snail
1 White Cowrie
2 Nassarius Snail
2 Dwarf Blue Leg Hermit Crab
2 Emerald Mithrax Crab
1 Pink Dwarf Colored Feather Duster

I want to buy: (in this order)

1 Ocellaris Clownfish
1 Diamond Watchman Goby
1 Blue Tang
1 Royal Gramma Basslet
1 Fox Face
1 Powder Blue Tang

Invertabrates
1 Scarlet Skunk Cleaner Shrimp
1 Pistol Shrimp
2 Electric Flame Scallop
5 Turbo Snail
5 Astraea Conehead Snail
1 Hawaiian Feather Duster

If it does not work to have two tangs in such a short tank I would prefer the Powder Blue. If it's cruel to keep either of them in such a short tank I won't get them. :(

IME..... as long as the two tangs have different body shapes and are intro'ed at the same time, everything should be fine. if you intro one 3 months after the other, then territorial lines have already been drawn up by the 1st tang.

I'm upgrading from a 55 to a 90.
I am thinking I can buy them both as tiny as possible and add them at the same time.
(after they go in the qt for at least a month of course)

I have a Blue and Purple tang in my 90 that get along great. They often graze together and space is not an issue...yet.
I do plan to get a 6' foot tank when I move in the next year or so.

Got sailfin and a powder blue... They bug the crap out of each other at times but do feed pretty peacefully most of the times, but then again the sailfin isnt known to be the bossy type tangs.

Wow Reefneck!
How long have you had them in there together?
We added the last fish about 7 months ago. The PBT. Other than that, The rest had been together for just over a year.

If I get lucky and find a used 125G within my budget they will be getting a longer tank soon. Need to downsize from 5 tanks. ;)

A little too much work on my wife since I became disabled.

Wow 5 tanks is a lot of work.
I'm not going to keep my 55 up just because I fear I would neglect it.
It would make a great tank for a Picasso Trigger though.
