A new tank you have to treat with kid gloves so tank has a chance to mature without fueling potential algae outbreaks.

Trace elements I would leave alone and just add what comes with doing water changes.

You should mostly just be concerned with additive to keep you Calcium and Alkalinity levels in check. There are many different ways and products available to do this.

As far as foods go, also be very careful and choose your food wisely as to not promote algae. Flake foods for example are high in phosphates so keep to a minimum or possibly avoid altogether.

I agree with David its always better to be patient and let the tank do some natural cycling

It also give you time to learn the importance of water changes and testing

But I still love Coral Vital
