Morning everyone. Been a while since starting a thread. The company I was at went bankrupt, and I had a few challenges with a prescribed drug mess. All that is in my taillights.

Tomorrow is my first foray into R and D at the new gig. Lots of pure science, and hope enough brain cells are left to do a little math. I'll also be converting some overlord company PLC's from GE/Fanuc to modern platforms. Only Jeff will know what the heck that means. This is just stuff that makes machines go roundy roundy. Everyone I think has a PhD, so I'll be the guy sweeping the floor.

Been driving Uber and love it. Pulled in over a grand this week and met the neatest people from every walk of life. I plan to keep doing it putting the funds into a "mad money" account. Between 4 and 7 am it is getting people to work and the airport, and that is my sweet spot. Planning to do that along with my new gig until a savings target is met.

Coffee is on, and I learned where to get 24 hour donuts. Enjoy your Sunday.

Good mawnin’, Perry, and all of TRT

Thanks for the coffee and donuts for us. I will add Belgian waffles with Canadian maple syrup has been heated up. I know someone will fix bacon or sausage. There’s also stewed apple second go on your waffle and what I have eggs over easy with brown edges on the eggs. I guess that makes them dippy eggs. Oh, and we need to have big muffins for them sit like that.

wow, Perry about your previous gig going bankrupt! You’ve got a good plan for saving money while get your feet going to do you gig. Hope it all goes well.

I did not even hear my alarm this morning. Good thing Bobbi always texts me at 7:00 every so we can get our day started. It is a nasty 38° with rain.

I have a regular church service this morning. This afternoon I will be going to a local production of To Kill a mockingbird. I’m looking forward to that.

I better get going!

lots of love and hugs and peace to everyone!

Good to hear someone had your back Cath.....always a groovy thought! THANKS for the grub......and that's how I like my dippy eggs cooked....nice brown edges on the whites. (y)

Thanks for all these photos, Hack! Looks like a good time, although heck didn’t look like he was all that interested. Could be his age. But it’s good he was there to help take the stuff out of the cars. That’s a lot of loot! When is squirt due! It looks like any second to me🤣

....look again Cath. There're positively ready to fall out of the skins in laughter and chair wetting happiness. Hack's the spitting image of me when I'm showing all those emotions.... we're blasted bookends! :ROFLMAO:

I'm no expert Cath when it comes to that 'girly countdown times' stuff, but I did hear 'THEY SAID' beginning of April......and I did hear Squirt n Jen mention 'Any day now' yesterday.........I'm siding with Their assessment from yesterday.

I can confirm it is NOW in Canada as well. In order to do the conversion to Canadian...by the time you read this it will be THEN - but also NOW.

From a Relativity perspective your place in time determined if it was NOW or THEN. It is both NOW and THEN for both of us. I am writing it NOW and you will read it THEN. Conversely you are reading it NOW because I wrote it THEN.

From a quantum physics perspective this message actually exists in two states which is called Superpostion. I had either replied to todays thread or I had not. By reading this your obvservation of the event determined which state it took. I did indeed reply.

Apparently I think too much and have had lots of coffee...

Have a good day.

Had a sports star in my car. He offered to sign something. My counter offer was to just chill and have peace for a few minutes before it gets in the spotlight. Got to shake hands with a legend and we went to dunkin and got coffees. Cool story for my grandkids.

My Brother.....The person formerly referred to as 'Little Hack', is soooooo out of his generation! From the 'mutton chops', to being a fan of Big Band and Swing, to knowing the 'who's who' of bygone days, to inheriting my...errrrr.. 'humor' and stoic demeanor.....yeah, he's someone his generation will have to deal with.:ROFLMAO::eek:

Good morning everyone,

Hey fever, still kicking my butt. Taking Claritin I hoping it’ll help long-term. The other day I took Benadryl and I have to say that was a big mistake. It made me tired and I lost all motivation. A couple of naps.
The weather has really nice tree are all green and the grass is growing.
I can imagine Uber be in a good way to make money in the right environment. I guess I was not Uber driver before Uber. In the mid 70s driving a cab in our at eight for three years. I made a good money and had one hell of a time doing it. I met so many people. I I always liked meeting people and talking. I will say it was like a constant party.

Oh yeah. I love that stuff. Inspite of being interested in this stuff since I was a boy, I want to thank you for making me a Schrodinger'ian fan - as we both know, I was and I was not until you made the observation. Thanks Pal.

Afternoon all,
The time change only benefits what my eyes saw time wise when Murphy woke me up this morning 5 am instead of 4am,, did not let my brain do the math as to how long I was able to sleep,, shhhh.
Since the dawgs have not learned how to read a watch, heheh, I’m assuming body clock is how they roll. At least 5 am looks/feels better than 4 am a day ago.( hopefully Murphy gets his act together before it’s time to “fall back” 🤞🏻🙏)

Got some lake effect snow last night,, sidewalks etc too warm to hold on to it , and the 1” on the grass is slowly melting today.

According to my command central kitchen chalkboard ( yeah I sometimes roll old school , heheh) vet appt.for Murph and Nash’s first appt at my vet said it was the 16th. Got a text from vet office this morning to confirm appt.as being tomorrow,,, online portal at vet shows Murph’s appt being tomorrow, hmmm.Since I called in right after Nash got here to see if I could add him to Murph’s appt.,,, all I recall , since I’ve slept since then, is that they said to come in a bit early ( existing / original appt day and time🤔🤷🏻‍♂️) to fill out paperwork on Nash being a newb . Other than giving Murphy a fresh bath/grooming pre vet visit being moved up, I have yet to perform tests/training on either one being cool with being on a leash( since both kinda need to be carried in since being on a leash is a unknown),,,
A few options possible ( Nash in a crate) , and the ordeal of getting both out of the truck , carry one in each arm,,, getting vet office door open somehow ,,,
Arrrgh. With snowy soggy yard currently , gonna have to time bathing until later tonite , IF I plan on leash training /testing today,,,, did I say “arrrgh” already ?🙄🙄😵‍💫

Cool on the PLC stuff Perry👍🏼. “Cycle power” is still a good go-to for a quick “fix” ,,, then t-shoot after the “it don’t run” complaint call comes in,, and they give you time , haha

On to the day,,

Hope everyone is having a great day👍🏼

I could see you having a good time. Driving a cab and meeting a lot of interesting people. You’d be good at that.

Jeff, I’m not sure I understand what you were saying about who was supposed to be getting the primary spot at the vets office tomorrow, or was it another day?

This thread is wide open today.

Jeff I am used to the four or five troublemaker machines if the power blips.

This company was owned by GE, and they had to use funky platforms for a while. Doing all the engineering to migrate machines into other platforms that are more mainstream and supported. Also, need to set up chillers, drives and controllers. All RTM stuff (RTM is Read the Manual). Being in the R and D lab and not facing thousands of dollars a minute for downtime will be nice. MIght get to enjoy a coffee at work and FINISH one.))

My beef with the last gig was having to cover up things and be unethical. This job is collecting tons of data from tons of sensors (yeah yeah that is me too) and not trying to sneak things under the rug. I had to take three stupid ethics classes, and not going to be less than transparent now.

Vinnie cool photo. I am going to keep doing Uber.. It was fascinating all week. One guy is a VP of technology at another company that is more aligned with a university. He is going to get me rolling on Python which is the en vogue automation language. If recent college grads can do it I am imagining it is like the Lego control system.
