Hello everyone,
I'm upgrading my basic 20G freshwater tank to a 100G with sump. I bought a standard 45G sump from Glasscages and need help designing the plumbing and setting up mechanical filtration. Another issue I'm contending with is the return from the sump is designed to come up over the second (smaller) overflow hole in the display tank and I need to figure out how to move the return away from the overflow with minimal exposure of plumbing in the display.
Thanks in advance for all your suggestions and feedback.
For whatever reason I can't add the URL into the post so I'm getting creative:

A picture or drawing would be helpful.
Don't quite understand what you mean by mechanical filtration??
Most people use Sump with Skimmer and live Rock.
You can start with a cannister filter but they accumulate Nitrates quickly.

I'm still not allowed to attach images, which makes no sense. I did provide the URL of the images in my original post. The URL is all mangled for the same "security reason"

This is a fresh water tank, so the skimmer won't work. I do have a large nitrate filter that serves as bio media. All I need now is the particle filter.
