Well here is my sump and refugeum within a refugium. This 35 gal sump is the reciever of an overflow from my shrimp spawning setup above. I have removed the lighting for the photo. The is about 25 lbs live rock 5 varieties of calerepa. I built the trickle down myself and I think it helps in oxegenating the watter (also helps give the bacteria a huge surface are so as not to deplete tank oxegen) I see many pods and things I think are pods! Were the live rock and calerpa have stopped the surface current a cool green bio film has developed on top of the water. I have read and believe a thin bio film offers many important functions on a reef. Looking forward to all friendly replies and mail. Jerry Aquaculture+ [email protected]
