I'm considering about a 30x14x16 sump for my 120g. I'm running an insump skimmer (ASM G3 eventually). I think I'd like a baffle in it for constant water level for the skimmer. I've had microbubble problems before so baffles and sponge for that would be good too. I like this sump:

I could run it with or without socks, doesn't matter. What do you think?

no socks.....no sponge...just unecessary items you need to clean

i just built a 100 gallon sump for a 225......using a G4+.....bigger skimmer......same concept.....i just simply used the over/under over baffles and the first baffle is about 1 1/2 inches taller than the last baffle....keeping the water height the same in the skimmer/drain chamber.........of course an auto top off is necessary to make this really work.....

that sounds like the size sump Im getting. It should be in sometime next week. A bit cheaper and customized to my specs. Try to find someone locally that could build one for you, or check around for prices. Heres a link to the guy building mine
