There is a danger in having them host in LPS. Because the polyps of LPS do tend to be somewhat delicate, clowns sometimes inadvertently damage the polyps on some of them.
My orange skunk clowns and oscellaris have taken host to hairy mushrooms (aquacultured, easy to take care of and grow quickly). One of the skunk clowns went through some sort of midlife crisis and after 2 years of hosting to the mushrooms tried, pulsing xenia, then my starburst polyps then bullseye mushrooms, only to eventually return to the hairy mushrooms.
And yes the clowns may be too aggressive for LPS, they really get into nestling into the shrooms at times.
