Hey guys I have been away from the hobby for a while now and would like to get back in.

This is the equipment that I am thinking of using but I am still unsure what kind of power heads tot get. or if a wave maker would be a thing I would need. I want to have Lps and Sps with just two clownfish

Tank: 40 gal innovative marine

Comes with pump, two filter socks (maybe have carbon bag in one?)
Skimmer: reef octopus classic 1000 hog

Lighting: Maxspect Nano Razor 15,000K LED Light Fixture - 70 Watt

Not sure if I need a chiller either or if I should use fans?

Thanks for any help, I have not bought anything as I want to hear opinions from people's experience. Thanks!

It sounds like you are going to have a sump if you have filter socks. If that is the case have you considered an in sump skimmer? Reef Octupus makes some great ones and I think most of the in sump skimmers work far better than the HOB ones.

I always try fans first, especially with LED you may not need a chiller. You could get an Apex controller with the money saved and use it to control fans and manage temperature.

What are your stocking plans? I'm assuming reef, but are you interested in SPS? LPS? Softies? The lighting requirements for these 3 are vastly different, along with the flow requirements.

The Innovative Marine tanks have the sump in the back of the tank like the bio cubes.
I could not find the depth dimension of the sump section just the width of the various sump sections. Might not be easy to get a good skimmer to fit in the sump.
