I think this is some kind of anemone, but what kind? Several of them are on some live rock I got from tampa. About 2.5 inchs tall and they love freeze dried shrimp!
Do you have fish in the tank? Or anything else? If not, get them peppermints in and let them eat. Remember, if you don't have fish, don't feed the tank. I might also suggest you get the small peppermints. They eat a lot mofre than the larger ones, cause they have to eat all the time, just like any other baby.
yes that is aiptasia, a fast-spreading anemone that will 'elbow out' and sting any other coral etc that you try to put in your reef tank. type aiptasia into a search engine and read up on it and the different ways to get rid of it. good luck.
