I would really like to get a sixline wrasse but I’m not sure if my tank could handle it. The guys at the LFS said that it could. I would like to hear other people’s opinion. Thanks.

Welcome to TRT!

As far as the 6 line, i would say you most likely would have problems with him in that size tank. 3 fish is already pushing it in a 24 gal. The 6 line can become downright beligerent when they get older. Killing shrimps, crabs, even feather dusters. Every fish is an individual and acts as such, but there are numerous stories with 6 lines getting bad reputations. In a larger tank, i would say go for it.

If you really want another fish in that tank, i would lean more toward something like a firefish or small goby like the yellow clown goby.

Thanks for your input. Actually I was looking into a yellow clown goby before I saw the sixline wrasse. As much as I would like a 4th fish I think I'll just stick with 3 for now.
