I've searched through the archives trying to come up with better ideas on quiting down my overflow, but I'm kind of confused on a couple of issues.

Durso stand pipe - I read that I should not use that on a HOB siphon overflow. Is that true? Is there something similar to that I could use to quite it down?

airline down the overflow pipe - Would that introduce more air to the sump that I would have to deal with?

Currently I have 2 over the back overflows and I use floss to try and slow down the flow so I don't have that super loud suction sound.

Or I could just ditch the 2 overflow boxes with 4 "U" tubes and spend $100 on a CPR overflow. Maybe that would be quiter?
