Hey everyone,

recently I noticed some pale white spots on my domino damsel, they are really hard to see and I cant get a picture. They are about 2mm in diameter and cover his whole body. They can best be seen when the light hits him in the right way. I havent noticed him acting differently, he still eats fine and swims around a lot. Any suggestions on what it could be?

Can you get a picture? Sounds like marine velvet disease, though it could be ich.

i tried to get a picture, but they dont show up. they kinda look like water spots on a car

Look up marine velvet and see if that looks like it.

I looked up Marine Velvet and didnt see anything that looked exactly like what Im seeing. Wish I could get a picture. But its definitely a possiblility

No, the spots are bigger and not so defined nor white

Does it look like perhaps you are seeing individual scales which are loose and appear pale? This could be a sign of internal parasites. Other symptoms usually aren't noticeable until the fish begins to lose body mass as it doesn't get to digest the food it is eating.
