Hello everyone.

My cleaner shrimp just died. Last month my fire shrimp died. They both died while or before molting.

The only other fish I have in there is a Coral Beauty and a orange spot goby.
I also have a pistol shrimp, but it wasn't in there when my fire shrimp died.

Any feedback on why my shrimp keep dying would be much appreciated.

I've only used Prime, but not for a while. I only have a Coral Beauty and a orange spot goby. My snails aren't dying. All my parameters are perfect. I also have a pistol shrimp. My tank is 3 months old.

You might want to invest in a refractometer, they can be more accurate than a hydrometer. And a TDS meter would tell you if you're getting good water. Tap water contains all kinds of things that are hard on invertebrates, so you want to make sure you're getting 0TDS water.

Check the basics and 0 TDS is a must! I had the same issue with shrimp, I started to dose some amounts of iodine and I didn't have anymore issues. Think the salt I was using was lacking in iodine. Change the salt but still dose a cap full of iodine a month.
