I don't use fans because when I did I realized it didn't do much and caused to much evaporation.. I switch to a chiller..

A few simple 12v PC fans will drop a few degrees off your tank and eliminate the need for an expensive chiller.

I had a light similar to yours and I mounted a small computer fan in the space between the light and the tank. It was unobtrusive and worked well. You could mount one on each side and have them blow across the surface of the water.

Forget about aluminum and saltwater, it's no good.

I use a 12" fan on one side and 6" on the other but I still battle temps in the winter. I will probably end up purchasing a chiller for this summer.
