Does anyone use SeaTest’s Calcium test kit? I just picked up one from my (LFS they don’t carry salifert :( ) Any way the instructions say to add the third regiment a drop at a time until it turns “Pure Blue”? Then multiply that by 15 to get Ca level! The first color change looks more like purple to me at about 23 drops (345) To get a “Pure Blue” color It takes like 40 drops (600) I know that the Ca is not that high! I just did three 30% water changes in the last two weeks because of a problem with hair algae. I’m using IO salt & I think it’s like 320 or so when mixed? Any ideas :fish:

Doug,
I know your feelings....I had this same test kit and used it 3 times......I got the EXACT same results you did.....so pretty much you can narrow your calcium level down to 345-600....they are junk in my opinion....I would say you are closer to the 345 than the 600 but so what, the test kit has pretty much told you nothing..

SOrry about the wasted funds!
