I just started this tank up 11/14/11..I added the black live sand it was a little cloudy but then yesterday I receieved my live rock from liveaquaria.com 45 pounds fiji. The problem I am having is the cloudiness it looks like a fish pond lol. Also I am running a ramora c skimmer hob rated for 75 gallons.

One last thing rockscaping! because of the cloudiness I couldnt really see while i was rockscaping... Can I rearrange it when it all clears up? How does it look any advice?

If anyone can help me create a nice landscape it would help haha...

I am just curing the rock any advice with this 2?

Yeah I washed the sand before I put it in the tank. My plan is when I do a 50% water change next week, I am going to change the rock around also siphon some of the dust and garbage off the bottom....The skimmer is amazing, this is the 3rd day it has been running and i already emptied it out already some nasty stuff..Does anyone recommend a surface skimmer or filter?

This is Day 2

Well what i originally ment was its gunna depend on you with so much rock you lose so much space esp with really porous rock ppl say do 1 1/2 lbs per g. of water but thats really subjective to how porous the rouck is ya know? from the looks of it with that rock you probably wanna go with 1lb per g. actually now that i take another look at your second pic it doesnt look as bad but know more rock means less fish

Keep the rock! ypu could always put it in a fug which isnt a must simply a possibility as for cleaning ive never tried that blk sand although ive always wanted to and taking rock out and givin it a quick rinse couldnt hurt much
