Let me start by saying the whole reason I decided to move the rocks is because the carpet nem I bought a few months ago has eatin about 150 dollars in fish. I wanted to remove it but,... it was wedged behind the rock that happed to be the most crucial part of the support system of my last design. I waited and waited and finally after a mass murder of 3 of my fish I was fed up!

So not only do I have before and after pictures I also need some adivce on what kind of fish you guys reccomend. Im looking for reef safe colorful fish. Im going to trade the one clown I have left for 2 percula clowns. I really like foxfaces (I lost one to the killer nem) and I really love the Flame hawk that I had.

I also want to ask you guys about somei sand sifters. I have had 3 sand sifting gobys commit fishy suicide. Any other sifters that are reef safe and effective?

The first pic is current, second is before. Any suggestions welcome! :)

Both look good :D

Me personally, I like the second picture the best. The first one looks kinda piled up like it's barely ballancing. The first one looks more natural.

Salty- Yes, it is centered in the tank. I have a 90.

Emkbass- I was reluctant to change the rock work for this exact reason. I didnt think I would like it all in the middle. I actually like it alot better now and it has that reef tank "look". It pretty much is just ballacing there but Im going to get some reef putty for the smaller rock on the top and prolly add some new rock for a chunkier looking top. It looks kind of like a wall right now but I like the clean appernce. i also love how every thing gets so much better flow. I also dont have to worry about dead spot in the back any more. In a weird way im kinda happy I had to get rid of that dumb old nem hehe :)

 Right on!! The greatest thing about this hobby is the amount of creativity we have with it. What ever aquascape looks good to you and works is the right one.
Nice job, will be looking forward to some more pics as the tank matures!!!

I have to say the BEFORE pict "looked" better, but IMO it would have been harder to clean and get around it, not to mention the way you have it now will increase your water movement a bit.

I think that may be the hardest thing a reefer has to work out, what looks better and what is easier to get around in.

I basically have a clean slate. Im dabbling in the thought of reef preditor tank...if thats possible.

I did mine just the opposite. It's all about looks for me. It has to look like I want or I don't want it. I'd rather deal with a difficult clean job and be happy with the way it looks :D

I know what you mean, I just moved a few things around tonight myself. My wife says "you'll never be satisfied will you!" HA - probably not.

reef predator tank, is possible, but it would be more like, preditor tank with coral safe fish and no inverts, besides those that can defend themselves...
Yea, that could be cool!!

HAHA story of my life. I know what you mean about the looks. The first time I put all the rocks in it probably took me 2 hours cuz I couldnt get it right. I was so aggrivated I would get up on the chair (cuz in short) and move two rocks. get down, step back, and look real hard at it. Then repeat this about 500 times. I prolly lost 5 pounds that night haha. Since then I have calmed down but I still obsesse over the whole thing.

Is a 90 to small for an eel. I havnt researched them a whole lot. This is the begining of my "new" critter list. just wanted some opinions.

Something is very attractive to me about dangerous fish...yeah kinda wierd.
