I hav experinced a red slime hair bacteria problem. Yes i know the new tank cycle syndrome the 57 gal has been running for 2 months with 65 lbs LR. wet dry filter, chiller (76 Degrees), uv sterelizer 15 watt, shell subterate, water make up is fine no phos, no nitrate, no nitrite, no amonia, is this just a cycle thing and how long does it last.

When does the coraline algae start Cal is 450 and alk is high ph is 8.4 and has been for 2 months

your cycle is over if your readings are all o............now if you have no fish in it i wouldnt go adding more then 2 fish or so because your bacteria might not be mature enough yet.............and the coraline ..............heck some people dont have it for months............keep the cal. where it should be and be patient and it will happen..........

Have you checked phosphate levels? I've found out that high phosphates can cause hair and slime algaes - -
