ive purchased a bamboo shark about 5 days ago now and he has sence developed the infamous red rash. i thougt my substrate was fine enough only because i have another one which ive hatched thats about 3 and a half months old. today i put a finer sand in the tank but of course i cant see much right now. perhaps sum help from the pros.:help: can this kill her?? do i need to medicate ?? now my male(the old one) has been turning over and rubbing his back on the bottom. im going to assume this is from the sand setteling on him and not parasites. any help plz...:help1:

how well grounded is your tank? elasmobranchs can be tough to keep. if you can keep them for the first year than the rest is easy. how big is the tank? is there a good hiding place for them during the day? are they getting enough to eat? are you feeding them at night when they are active? what are you feeding them? how big is the tank?
