Jon,
i have one from Bj's whoesale club. almost the same set up.
the kits at HD are just the metal pices, you have to buy the wood. kids liked them a lot, i ended up taking the swing set off and attaching it to the gsarge to give it more support. i did not like the rope ladder part. a bit too loose and dangerous i think. but the Rock wall form you can buy ataches to all the aets and looks real!..
You and the Mrs's are going to have a fun time getting the kids out of it! i finally gave it to the neighbor, after 6 years only the inside fort pieces needed to be replaced..
oh and the "sun" cover dont hold up to much..

My kids love the one I built. I purchased a clearence kit from swing-n-slide then went to home depot to buy the lumber. If you our handy you may get it done in the build time, but dont be upset if it takes you longer to build. I will try to post a picture tomorrow its dark now. They are very good long lasting sets. Ours has been through 4 hurricanes and still standing. Also it cost me about $800 for the build but all the neighbor hood kids all fit in it and it is sturdy! And Tim is right the tarp doesn't hold up. I went to a canvas place and bought a scrap piece and replaced mine, and that is holding up nice.

bill that is the same type kit they have a HD. i picked up another swing piece yesterday
The reason I purchased the set through swing-n-slide is Home Depot did not have the one my kids liked at the time they only had 3 to choose from, Plus the one my kids picked was a clearence item too. The family all sat down at the computer and picked one out....but I did have to cap the price because the kids wanted me to build the Hilton of swing sets $$$ and I did not want to spend or finance that option.

I understand, I would love to build abig one, but I have to be reasonable. I just currently have one son who is about 2.5, I know he is joung for one of these but he will grow into it, plus if I have a set at home, my dog can get out and play with him :D.
