If you made the feed pump a NW venturi would it help, or the cost to up grade would be minimal for the return of investment.

I can't see it harming production, unless the increased amount of air would effect the performance.

I have not seen a 'factory' recirc with a nw/venturi pump.

It makes it harder to control the flow-through IMO and it can be hard to adjust;) I tried it with a NW feed and it was a pain. Better to upsize the recirc NW IME...

here is my diy recirc. i tried this. and found that it pushed water out of the venturi air tube. i put a small air pump on the tube that forced air in but honestly i did not get any better performance from the skimmer. it is important to note that my feed pump is also my return pump to 2 tanks (it is a mag 18) the recirc pump is a mag 5.
