i noticed that i have green specks in my tank as well as white spots on the glass. what could this be from?? the white spots easily come off but the green, which is a blue/green color does not any ideas??? thought?? help

The green specks sound like coralline algae, and the white spots could be tiny feather duster worms. Both good signs.

sounds like the hard algae that may or may not be a type of coralline, depending on who you ask, no prob tho its ok stuff

The white spots are most likely snail eggs. And the green spots are probably coraline algae you can scrape it off with a credit card cheapest way to use them and it works great. HTH

Coraline comes in many colors I would guess the green is a form of this type algae.

Do your white spots look like mini spirals with hair fine threads poking out?

the white spots look like calcium deposits - best way for me to describe them - like mini spirals i guess

oh and i had snails but have not had any for about a month as far as invertibrates all i have are hermit crabs
