A quick question about this reactor. I'm in the process of buying all the equipment to start a reef tank and from what im seeing these are well priced. However, I'm curious if i will need to buy a seperate pump and run this independantly. I have a SC-65 skimmer with a 1380 L/hr pump. Am I able to mount the reactor in the sump with the skimmer and run both with that pump?

10 gal sump
And lots o goodies in transit.

I added a line off my return pump to use for any reactors I want. If you don't have that then it will need its own small pump.

The unit can go right in the sump. Actually, that's where I prefer it. It can go outside of the sump as well, but for me if it springs a leak I don't want it on the floor.

Ok so this may be a doubly silly question but does the pump on the skimmer not act as or a return? Or are the pumps on skimmers solely there to agitate the water and introduce air to create foam?
If so any suggestions on a return pump? I will have 39 gallons tv.

The pump on a skimmer is just for the skimmer. It's possible to work in a return pump to run a skimmer as well if you want using pipes and valves and whatnot.
