.......I'd be willing to bet there's a 1 in 7 chance of THAT. :ROFLMAO:
Ohhhhh, aging is sooooo much fun.

Good morning Y'All, and HAPPY TUESDAY!
Coffee is on, and thinking an Egg McMuffin may lay in my future, as long as today is Wednesday?

Another WINDY but clear day....20-30 again. I wear 'flexible armor' Cath......takes years to get these outfits flexible enough to work in.

Peace,
Hack

Mornin Hack. & all who wander in shortly. Yup Tuesday. Had to check myself. Egg McMuffin is always the right answer when you are looking at a day out in the fresh air. Good start to the proceedings. Very cool repair on the wooden boat yesterday. I was just watching a boat build on the internets a while ago & they were doing that. It reminded me of having to make joints in the old cast iron drain pipe using hemp rope and a chinking chisel. To be honest the mortar type paste we used was largely asbestos back then. You can be sure that was kept wet.

Good morning Hack, Rick , Perry and all,
Coffee is finished and I’m just waking up. A little behind today. Still have my fry to tend to.

Good mawnin’, Hack, Rick, Perry, Vinnie, and all of TRT!

Thanks for the coffee, Hack. Yummy! And ignorant muffin sounds perfect for your day and ours. I’ll add nanners and tangerines because they’re easy to eat. Hope your day doesn’t have any unpleasant surprises. Watch out for that wind!

Rick, I can’t imagine using asbestos for anything. But then, that’s the difference in the times.

Vinnie - How much longer before the fry become adults? Is that like watching paint dry?

Started out at 48 this morning and going up to 80. Going to Orlando next Thursday to see a new production of my brother’s opera Lizbeth. It’s about Lizzie Borden. I’ll post more info on that later. Bobbi and her husband and I are going to fly down to Orlando, so I have lots to do to get ready for that. It will be a family event for us. Besides my composer brother and his wife, their two children and my brother and his wife from Oklahoma also coming. We are also very excited about this opportunity. I have no idea how Orlando Opera found out about Lizbeth.

Lots of love and hugs and peace to everyone!

Good morning Cath,

it worst then watching paint dry. The nex step on the 4 week old is getting them to feed on frozen mysis. Then about 3 or 4 months they will be good to go. I have to just mixing live with frozen this week. Then really keep up with water quality.

Morning Doug,
Morning all,
Cool on the trip/outing/vacation Cath 👍🏼.

Well, phone guy was here and eventually found the culprit with landline static etc ( worserer when it rains) , a old splice underground, he said it was split open ( mebbe a old lightning strike 🤷🏻‍♂️) and moisture gets in when da ground is wet. My own prediction was spot on, had mentioned there was a splice in the ground along with a few wire/spares swaps over the years. Sure enuf,, it was da splice.

Thought I would hold out from firing up the house A/C for a few more days, last night changed that plan. Was around 10 pm when that a thought bubble happened, and of course the outside unit did not come one after its winter snooze. Too dark to be rootin around the outside with a flashlight, so decided at least I would go in the attic and uncover the whole house fan. That went well, and no feet or body parts came thru the ceiling, I’ll call that a win, heheh. Scoped out the A/C situation, cleaned/exercised the relay, tried it and it worked 🤷🏻‍♂️. Musta just need a lil love and a love tap.

Did a lil outside cleanup while I was out ,,, next is killing time until I meet the Doxie rescue rep to pick up my new fosters, Herbie and Stewy . Informed the resident dawgs that newbs will be here soon and to welomce their new foster brudders( and that a few of THEM were fosters here at one time).

On to the day

Hope everyone has a great one!

Morning Jeff,

our ac been going for sometime now, I keep the house cool and it helps with keeping my seahorse tank cool. I like to keep them at about 76 degrees max. Been able to with the ac and no chiller. Kristine thinks it’s because I don’t like the house warm.

Afternoon all,

Back from picking up new fosters Herbie and Stewy,, meet n greet with the pack here went great . When King the GSD met them, the lil older dude Stewy was a bit “oh oh big dawg!”, but he got over it.
Super friendly ( currently lodged on my lap ( barely sat down before they were leaping into my recliner) and don’t see them being nothing but super cool meeting future potential adopters. They showed no “new guy/new place” apprehension other than checking out the new to them stuff. Sometimes you
worry that newly adopted dogs don’t adapt to a new forever home ,,, don’t see that being a problem with these two .

To be nice, I just allowed the new fellas on my lap , the regulars are not pleased, haha.
And imagine later tonight instead of the usual 2 or 3 doxies and middle dog Scruffy on my lap , it’ll be two more somehow wedged up here somehow.

In the old days, running the 75g mixed reef with 2 -400w MH bulbs, and 4 pc actinics,,, the a/c here was doing double duty, keeping the house cool(er) due to the heat from the bulbs, and the tank in optimal temp range. The LED age makes it that much easier to consider starting tanks back up here.
I recently pitched( bulbs/fixtures) and scrapped( ballasts) the lighting from the tank,,, was “storing” them in case I was to start back up,, and also it was “wrong” to just pitch the stuff ( LEDs we’re not a thing when I took down the setup,so the lighting was “valuable “ then)

Good afternoon, all!

Vinnie - hahaha with Kristine thinking the house being extra cool is only for your personal enjoyment. Well, there is an extra advantage for you there there

Jeff - those doggies are super cute and they look right at home. Thanks for the photos I can just see Stewy giving King a sideways glance and a halfway “ruh roe”, and then realizing that all was ok since Herbie was cool about it.
Not surprised you figured out what the problem was with the electrical mess with your phones. Bring a long time spark chasers gives you an advantage. 🥳

Doug - Glad to hear that Fergee is coming into her own under your care. She’s good for you as you are for her.
YUCK for your cool temps out there.

That’s all for now, folks!😂

Good afternoon all,

hot outside , been working in the back yard taking the check pen down. Not the coop but the pen . Tomorrow I will get the polls finished and it will get me more yard. The yard is over growing so lots of weed eating and a burn pile to be set up.
Jeff Led are nice when it comes to heat , most tanks are LEDs here but the reef, it’s MH and T5.
A quick 'dinner break' check in before I commence that chore thing.

Water Sky Cloud Boat Watercraft

You can't show wind, but if you could it would look like this ONLY WINDIER!
DAY 5 of GALE FORCE+ WINDS.......steady 30, with constant SUSTAINED GUSTS over 40 and commonly to 50+ mph.

Opted NOT to launch that wooden boat today....would have been an unnecessary risk.....tomorrow the winds begin to diminish..... 20-30mph. ;)

Got some gun shop time this evening, so shall re-chat latter.

Holy moly, Hack! Good idea not to take that huge risk to launch that wooden boat! I’m sure Jen and Nate want to keep you in one piece, and so do the rest of us. Have some well-deserved fun and grooviness with your family tonight!

Tonight I’m going to watch a virtual lecture -recital as a part of the series of events in our area. Overall program is called Violins of Hope, and is about violins that survived the holocaust. The event has gone on tour around the US, and we are very lucky to have the events here as well.

Everyone have a groovy night.

That was a great article Cath. I being of Celt Origin have a profound love of the fiddle or Violin, i like the Irish pipes and Scottish as well but well played fiddle music or slow violin music always makes me gasp
