The only possible issue I can see is if any of the bulbs can be bought cheaper over the internet. I did check "hello Lights" and the only one that got beat was the 6500K Iwasaki in 250W, all of the others were higher. Dougs price is $63.00 and Hello lights price is $59.00...

I'll send Doug an email and ask for clarification.

I would of posted this sooner but my Computer has been down for most of the weekend. Thought it was the hard drive, turned out to be a bad power supply.

Pricing on the mogul gased bulbs is based on case prices. So yeah each type of bulb will have to sell at least 12 in order to get the rpice break.

On a side note, Doug also now carries XM bulbs (I believe these are DE bulbs) and they only require a $250 minimum, any combination of bulbs. Here is the pricing for the XM bulbs.

Bulb Club $ MSRP Savings %
XM 150-10K HQI 47 59 20%
XM 150-20K HQI 47 59 20%

XM 175-10K 48 59 19%

XM 250-10K HQI 53 75 29%
XM 250-20K HQI 56 75 25%

XM 400-10K 56 69 19%

Doug asked me to give him a call tomorrow to talk about this as it's starting to get complicated...

I'll post more once I talk to him.

I talked with Doug today. It seems like the XM bulbs may be they way to go or to go with the XM bulbs and maybe pick 2-3 other bulbs such as the Ushios and/or hamiltons. The XM come in both mogul base and DE (HQI). A great place to view different bulbs in a side by side comparison can be found through one of Dougs links.

With the XM bulnbs there only has to be a total purchase of $250 worth of bulbs to get the price. With the other bulbs there is a minimum of 12 of each bulb to get the discount price for each bulb.
