Well, the pond is in, level, rocked in, and the waterfall doesn't leak (much)! It will still take some tinkering, but so far, so good. There is a step down into the garden, and the whole area will be fenced off ultimately. Also, we decided to put a small pentagonal deck in the area to the right, as it won't cost too much, and it will be a nice flat surface for a bistro set. The hammock posts will be sunk into the left foreground.

I'm planting pearlwort (a hardy, creeping evergreen) between the stones in the path, and the lillies are all in. Not that you can tell, but soon it will be green!

Close up of the pond so far. The (good) filter should be in soon, and although we were playing with a spare Mag-5 to run the waterfall, we'll have a Mag-7 doing the work. :)

And of course, our little helper. Her idea of "help" is to dig all the dirt off the shovel while we're shoveling. That, and attack the little grass root balls that were turned over.

She was right there, digging away the whole time. The problem was is that she was generally digging in all the wrong places.

Oh, and this pic pretty much sums her up.

Hmmmmm she doesnt have the Koolaid tongue common to chows, but a neat pup anyway. Nip the biting thing soon, it gets painful after a while
