Plodding along Tuesday

......got to go through it to get to the other side.

Top of a Tuesday morning to Y'All!
Coffee is hot, and Thomas's will be joining us again.....bring napkins for all those nooks n crannies.

Heading to near 80, and a fair chance of rains......indeed welcome to summer.

Probably beat Cath to bed last night, but feel as though a little more sleep would have been nice.....NOT a morning person by a long shot.

Let's go look for peace and grooviness,
if enough do there's a better chance of us finding it in more places.

Mornin Hack. I missed all the chatter yesterday trying to sleep but not over sleep so I could sleep last night and get back on track. I failed hard. Couldn;t get to sleep last night once it was really bed time. Oh well.

Weather looks to be warming up for a couple days - 84 today & 88 tomorrow. Maybe we will get the pool up to wife approved temps for the weekend.

On other news. It looks like we are house shopping. I don't expect to have any news on that front any time soon but starting the process. I live a block away from the main drag and the lots are small. I am a country boy at heart & we are looking for something just out of town with some land. The housing market here went crazy a couple months after we bought the house 5 years ago. It has almost tripled in value. Rural houses here have only doubled. We are looking for something 10 to 15 minutes from town and 5 to 20 acres. A hobby farm type property or possibly a waterfront property on one of the rivers. Lots of options, just have to find one we like.

Have a spectacular day all.

Good morning Hack, Rick and all.
We are in a heat wave here, nice and toasty.
Rick good luck on house hunting, we think about downsizing every so often. Two of us really don’t need a 2800 sq ft house. But it is kind of funny how cluttered it is.
Have a great day

Mornin Vinnie. Yeah, our possessions seem to expand to fill what ever space we have available. I think I will be thinning out some things I have been "saving" that I really don't need. Even if we don't find something soon we will be a little less cluttered.

Happy Flag Day!

Thanks for the coffee and Thomas English muffins, Hack! I’ll add PB, nanners, and Bartlett pears that are just right for picking up and eating.
I agree completely on looking for grooviness and sharing it with everybody! Let’s start a trend.

Rick, that’s a confusing bit of you try to go to sleep a decent hour description. No wonder you couldn’t go to sleep. Hopefully by Friday, your day off, you are on a better sleep pattern.
That is so exciting for your plan about buying a different house and property! Looking forward to how that turns out for you.

I hear ya, Vinnie! That happens when a woman buys a larger pocketbook because her small pocketbook is too overcrowded. Pretty soon that larger pocketbook is also too overcrowded.🤪

Tonight is movie night where I live. I don’t know what the movie is that we will be watching, but tgat fine with me. We had several to choose from, and were given the option to suggest one. I suggested When Harry Met Sally. It will be warm outside. Management will provide drinks and popcorn. Although the property was sprayed for mosquitoes, I better get something else to protect me. Yesterday I saw one that was large enough to carry away a small dog.

Lots of love and hugs and peace to everyone!

Good luck with the house search!

Started at 5 am today, but didn't want to crash into Hack. One more day starting at 5 to go.

It is 90 today and will be 96 tomorrow. Hope it isn't too hot inside for the production people.

Got everything imaginable except a fake vinyl roof on order for my new car.

Was sure a hot, 'cooler' day round here.....got an 'ON-OFF' sprinkle through the morning, morphing into beautiful.

My usual schedule Perry is round bout 10 of 6a.....time to finish my 1st 2 cups, and check who's out n about.....If I see someone I tend to drag my feet. Been involved with loads of train wrecks round here, so won't be novel if we run into eachother. (y)

More of that smoked pork sandwiches.....Family's tired of it, but still hitting the spot for me. So there's cheese burgers and hot dogs on the table as well.

Took me a few minutes to identify that oder......I'm gonna go hit the shower!:ROFLMAO:

WAY COOL Rick you doing the ole 'look around' thing......sounds like Y'All looking for a perfect forever home.....have a blessed search, and all the best. If Ya can stretch that 'commute time' a smidge, there's some acreage round here. Neighbors are kinda groovy as well.

Afternoon /evening all,
A wee bit warm in these parts today, heat index up to 110 degrees. Lowered the fenced in dog yard early ( even tho it was 90 degs) and the sprinkler been running /moved since.
Of course I HAD to decide today I was gonna fire up the grill,,, if it was 10 degree winter I woulda stayed out with the grill, today I was in and out of the a/c’d house between flipping /checking.

Missed a “weather pattern” last evening,, big winds n rain slide across from the NW. Tornado watches were up for a bit,,, most all of it stayed to the north luckily .

On to the rest of the day,

Hope everyone had a great one !

CONGRATULATIONS Vinnie! (y)

Every once n a while a 'project boat' gets dumped in my lap......got one of them now. A big ole Ocean with a pair of Detroits.......they want the port trans. replaced. They had someone lined up, all we had to do was haul and block......the guy went and got 3 fingers cut off, so fell in my lap...NOT THE FINGERS.

Bilge has 8" of oil and coolant in it, so most of the removal was done being exceedingly dirty and grimmy.

You can see wood under the back of the block......trans had the engine mounts, so I had to hoist the engine and block it, then remove the tranny.

That center section was everything I had to remove to get to the transmission.

OBVIOUSLY wedged in with minimal access....And YES, that all oil.

Almost at the 1/2 way point now......more like a 3rd of the way. Trans is out, but now the CLEANING begins.

An 'A frame' and chain fall is how that's done inside a boat.....then our crane meets me at the door, and I transfer the trans.

Those Detroits make a wonderful sound under load.
In boats, when you have a pair of them running in 'sync' it is mesmerizing.
