is it ok for my saltwater tank to sit for a month without the filter on? no fish or anything thing is in it just salt water? i want to start it back up again?

I would run the filter or a power head just to move water around. Do you have any sand or Live Rock in there?

another question would be was the tank covered is there any chance that any thing could have gotten in to it ? room air freshener spray?
