Hi All

I have recently set up my first Marine Fish only tank (30th April). I have just tested the water, and here are the results. PH = 7.6. Nitrate = 10, Nitrite = 0.2, Ammonia = 0.2.

I know that the Ammonia and Nitrite should continue to reduce, but my question is do I need to do anything to increase the Ph levels? If so, what?

When should I do my first water change?

Thanks

Thanks for the reply.

I have live sand and live rock in there at the moment. I've not added anything else yet. I have noticed that I have a tube worm and a small crab that has found it's way to the tank via the live rocks.

Ah, well then other than your live rock you aren't really "jump starting" the cycle and it will take a lot longer. Many suggest just going to your local grocery and getting a fresh raw shrimp, or part of one, and throw it in your tank. That should help getting things going without any live fish or else.
