We went to the LFS today and Pat bought a Pagoda Cup Coral and she said it was to big for her tank so I kinda fragged it!

It was shaped in a "Y" pattern and I noticed it has released some slimey strings on both frag pieces! I am hoping it is just going through a stress period and will recover!

Anyone have experience with pagoda cup? :)

It was shaped similar to what you see in this pic:

Yes mine does that to if it's disturbed. Mine likes med current and a good amount of light. I fragged it a few years ago when it was about 10" across! I kept one piece and gave the rest away. Be sure to blast it with a turkey baster once in a while because they are prone to catching detritus. Bob

Here is pagoda cup coral after being fragged a few hours ago! It is responding really well! At the base on the right side you can see where I fragged it! The coral was quite thick and hard to frag!:)
