What is ORP/Redox? What is its role in my reef tank? how do i test for it? how do i control it? Please help explain this to me. I appreciate all of your input. You have never failed me yet TRT!!!

ORP = Oxidative redox potential

in a nut shell it is the measurig of the oxidizing power of you water in the tank. but since it is in a glass box it is very hard to read correctly. it is not necessary to run it or use it. many people who run ozone have to measure ORP to make sure everything is running right.
ORP can be around 300 -500 Mvh for our tanks. ( yes it is a good size range).

I also use that as a guage if something wrong when my redox goes down(which means something wrong with the water quaility).
