There are a number of "growths" on the white skeleton of my hammer. They are hard, reddish brown, and when I feed mysis they stick little heads out and grab food. They've been there since I got the coral a month ago. Are they tubeworms? Are they bad?

Difficult to photograph. The long white thing is a mysis one of them has grabbed.

One benefit of having access to surgical tools. Also if I ever get experienced enough to do fragging, I should be alright. I can't seem to find really long (>12 inch) forceps for target feeding though, which sucks. Will have to shell out $ for that.
