does anyone know what's the best way to remove the small plastic support strip that is stuck down with silicon? its attached tp the center support glass, and is used as a dual glass canopy lid divider, which i didn't purchase. i'm not sure if it will produce much of a shadow if i went will a single light source, but its not needed for support either.

the glass itself will probably cause more of a shadow than that little strip. try a razor blade

Are you going to use VHO type strips ?......I have the center support on my 90 with 46.5 inch VHO bulbs....It does not shadow anything at all.......

I have the same strip on my Oceanic and there's no impact on the lighting that I can see. I wouldn't give it a second thought. The salt that can build up on the glass, both top and bottom, is more of a concern IMO.
