Well, I have a Green Carpet anemone that is huge! Somehow, it decided to get stuck in my overflow, and, well, I can see its foot in an elbow, and part of the other end is coming out another fitting. It's now sitting in the tank, should I try to "encourage" it out somehow, or just let it try to come out on its own????? :(

Sometimes rubbing ice cubes on anenome's tends to discourage them and they will let go of what they are holding onto. Maybe that will make him come out of the elbow and off the overflow. Otherwise point a tunze right at him for a while and he won't like that and will move away...

If part of the anemone is out of the water, you may need to do something sooner than later......your corals may not like dead anemone water.

I've separated this part of the plumbing, and it's sitting in water. I think I'll just let it be for now.

Nearly the whole creature, which is 12-16" wide btw, is in 1" PVC pipe.
