Any tips on netting and moving a fish from display to hospital tank (and vice versa)?

For example, put some display tank water in a pail, net the fish, put into pail, pour water and fish into hospital tank?

In terms of returning to display tank, I guess best to avoid putting water from hospital tank into display.

Also, how big a net in relation to size of fish?

Appreciate all thoughts and experiences!

Rule of thumb...... Do not use a net on saltwater fish...

Most good LFS's sell specimen containers.. The clear plastic ones that they use in the store to bag fish. Use this to catch the fish. If you can't get one, try to use something similar. Most saltwater fish will get caught up in the net and it will mess up their scales.

I agree on trying to not use nets, but w have been forced to use them to catch the fish :( Iwould recomend on your Q tank get a special container, it could even be a tuperware that you only use in your Q tank. It does get tricky transfering the fish.
